Happy Monday beauties!,
Today I would love to express my deep gratitude to my client and her openness for change. Her and I went shopping last night, because she wants wardrobe to best fit WHO SHE IS. So that’s first.
As I was shopping with her, the greatest question was asked. “Amy, what do I do when I want to wear something that is TOTALLY out of my zone.?” My response? “Hunny, whats out of your zone is because you put it there. Say YES to the pants that have prints from the AMAZON forest, and pair it with a basic. A basic black tank, or nude. GO BACK TO THE BASICS.”
This theory is something I myself take into account in life, in general. When things are getting a little NUTS or even better when you want to go for that NEW job or NEW relationship or NEW wardrobe but you’re a little afraid. Just start from your basics, to your center..and you will have the energy to move forward more confidently.
So go ahead guys and gals, go ahead and be daring. Try out that BRIGHT lip color “thats out of your zone” or talk to that hot guy at the bookstore.
Whatever you decide to do, shine bright like your center.
REMINDER: In order to FEEL good, we must TREAT ourselves GOOD from a sincere source.

** What is our truth?

Sometimes, we have clothing in our closet that A. we buy for the wrong reasons, B.we want to look like a celebrity, C. we are holding onto the item for too long and wish that SOMEDAY that shirt/jeans/dress will fit you OR D. you have an emotional attachment to an item either good or bad.
I am here to tell you that buying clothes to “save” for a perfect day is no way to live darling. The present moment is all there is. We must be able to have clothes that serve our present moment and some SPECIAL (not saved) items that remind you of the better/healthier version of you that you are already on the road to becoming. In the journey of this newsletter we will get down to business as to what are the reasons some clothes make it to your sacred space (your closet). Some people do believe that clothes are just clothes but I am here to say, Everything you touch, everything that you give your attention to is receiving your energy, so clothes too can be a great way to set positive intentions for your days and the enhancement of your life. What style teaches is authenticity. The more you are yourself, the more style you will acquire.
Step 1 of this journey: shedding layers and getting clear. Let’s start by shedding all of those layers of false starts from your closet. Let’s de-cluter your fashion space by eliminating anything you no longer need!
What to do?
Closet Cleanse To-Do :
Step 1. Donate or swap (hey, good karma too :) with a friend an item of clothing that no longer serves you emotionally or physically! Write down the reasons that you held on to these items for so long? For example : “I held on to this t-shirt because it was the t-shirt that my ex-boyfriend gave me” or “I bought these size zero jeans because one day I will be able to loose all this weight to look like a super model”, let me tell you something right now as an aside: You Won’t.
Step 2. Feel your feelings. What happened when you let go of that item/s of clothing that were holding emotional space for you?
Step 3. Write down what kind of new emotions you will bring to your fashion space and your life! Feel your new feelings! Start to look at cool style blogs that will inspire you. Create a pinterest with new wardrobe suggestions that serve the better you!
